The team at Star Rescue Network, RSA India, received a distressing call about a small puppy with a significant lump on her belly. They named her Rahi.
The mass was so large that it made it difficult for Rahi to rest comfortably. As a street puppy without anyone to care for her, Rahi faced life’s challenges alone. Despite her struggles, she remained brave and resilient.
Upon examination, the veterinary team determined that the large lump was an inguinal hernia rather than a tumor. To provide her with the best chance at recovery, the team decided that surgery was the safest option, despite her young age.
The surgery was a success, and Rahi’s hernia was repaired, with the added removal of two loose teeth. After her procedure, she was placed in a comfortable shelter, where she received gentle care from the staff.
In the first few days after surgery, Rahi was weak, but her resilience shone through. Slowly but surely, she began to regain her strength, and her playful spirit emerged once more.
Within days, Rahi’s improvement became evident. Free from the discomfort of her hernia, she was finally able to rest comfortably. Her quick recovery brought smiles to the faces of the shelter staff, as Rahi transformed into a joyful and healthy little dog.
Thanks to the efforts of her rescuers and the veterinary team, Rahi is now thriving and enjoying her second chance at a happy life.
