Every dog deserves a life filled with love, fun, and happiness. Sadly, not all pups get that chance.
Many dogs are forced to survive on the streets without food, shelter, or medical care. This harsh reality often leads to life-threatening conditions.
Thankfully, there are compassionate people who dedicate their lives to rescuing stray dogs and giving them the care they deserve.

Sheridan, an animal lover with four dogs, a foster, and a hedgehog, still made room for one more when a pup in need crossed her path.
Ava, once a stray, had spent her days scavenging for food. Her luck changed when she was rescued, but medical exams revealed serious heart issues. Despite surgery, her prognosis was grim—she didn’t have much time left.

Sheridan welcomed Ava into her home, determined to make her final days special. However, things didn’t go as expected.
“I had to consider keeping her permanently, but once she came home, I realized her medical status didn’t matter,” Sheridan shared with Geobeats.
Ava quickly became a beloved family member, thriving in her new home.

Little Furry Helper
Ava welcomed foster pups with excitement, becoming the perfect hostess. She comforted nervous puppies and helped them adjust to their new home.
“She’s so welcoming and patient, and other dogs see her as a mom,” Sheridan said.

Despite her condition, Ava continued to defy the odds, taking her heart medications and living her best life.
Three years later, Ava is still here, healthier and happier than ever.
“She’s six now, and they didn’t expect her to make it this far. I hope her story inspires people to see the potential in overlooked dogs. They all deserve loving homes,” Sheridan concluded.
