I thought of starting this article with “life writes our stories,” but in truth, it’s not life that writes them—it’s us and those around us.
Sadly, people can be both the authors and the main characters in these stories. While we may have the power to decide our roles, little creatures like Alberto do not.
While it’s heartbreaking and disappointing to know that some people can hurt or abandon an animal, it’s equally uplifting to know that there are humans who would do anything to save a sweet animal like the adorable pup in this story.
A Box of Hope
Finding a little pup in a box, abandoned by those he trusted the most, is one of the most heartbreaking scenes for any compassionate person.
Alberto, a small but courageous dog, managed to survive harsh conditions in a box in the middle of nowhere, even with a worm in his eye—likely the reason he was abandoned.
Fortunately, a team of kind-hearted people from Paticasporayudar, including a compassionate woman featured in a Paws Show video, found Alberto and took immediate action.
The woman was devastated by the pup’s condition and heartbroken by the fact that he was abandoned when he needed help the most. She pleaded for help while holding the pup in the cardboard box, a sight that broke many hearts.
However, the next part of the video, showing Alberto’s recovery, brought much-needed relief.
With the help of caring humans, Alberto’s box of misery turned into a box of hope.
Alberto’s Road to Recovery
Besides being malnourished and generally in poor condition, Alberto was dealing with eye worms—a type of infection caused by flies that lay their eggs within a dog’s eye. Alberto’s eye was infected, but a vet performed surgery to remove the maggots, saving him from blindness.
The amazing team from Paticasporayudar did everything they could to keep Alberto safe and healthy. Their joy when the little pup opened his eyes and started eating was immense, not surprising given how adorable he is.
From Bare Survivor to Playful Puppy
Seeing Alberto today, no one could imagine the hardships he endured. His playful personality and positive energy demonstrate how special he is and that saving him was well worth it, just like saving any other animal in need.
He loves spending time with his rescuers and other furry friends, running around and cuddling. It seems he has found his forever human as well, according to his savior’s words:
“Here, we continue with Alberto’s recovery, progressing little by little. Every day, he gets better. My beautiful doll, my love, my tender, small, noble, tenderly pampered child.”
I couldn’t agree more.
Although this story begins sadly, there’s nothing better than seeing an abandoned, sick pup finally enjoying life to the fullest. None of this would be possible without the kind humans from Paticasporayudar.
