Ending Relationships to Prioritize Self-Respect

My partner and I have never discussed his hair loss before. When I made that comment, I was aware that it likely bothered him, especially since I found photos on his phone of him taking pictures of the top of his head where the hair loss has started.

I felt it was hypocritical that he could create that whole situation, and my insecurity wasn’t off-limits but his was? Reflecting on it, I realize I didn’t handle myself the best in that moment. Am I the asshole (AITA)?
