While on vacation, a remarkable couple, Jeff and Diana Hall, took it upon themselves to rescue 34 stray dogs and cats, showing incredible compassion and leaving a lasting impact!
Owners of Camp Bow Wow doggy day camp in Burnsville, MN, the Halls stumbled upon a group of starving and unwell animals on a beach in La Paz, Mexico. This group included 8 young puppies, 5 older puppies, 14 adult dogs, and 7 cats.
Moved by the number of animals struggling for survival, Jeff and Diana felt they had to act. They named the group the “Baja 34 Pack” and, despite the difficulties of adoption regulations, decided to support the animals through local rescue organizations.
Though they couldn’t take the animals home immediately, the Halls committed to providing food, water, and care daily. They were amazed by the unity and gentle nature of the pack, especially how the animals showed respect to each other, even during meals.
After facing challenges with local shelters, the Halls partnered with Baja Dogs La Paz, a rescue group that facilitates adoptions in the US and Canada. Through fundraising, they hope to spay, neuter, and transport the animals to Minnesota for potential adoption.
Some of the dogs have already found homes, with the first puppies arriving in Minnesota. Jeff and Diana highlight the gentle personalities of these animals, emphasizing their potential as wonderful family members and showing the power of love and care.
