In an unbelievable turn of events, a 6-week-old puppy survived a terrifying accident, showing incredible resilience.
A group of construction workers, wrapping up their day, heard desperate cries from a tiny dog. Without a moment’s delay, they sprang into action, knowing every second counted.
They searched frantically, but instead of finding the source on the ground, they realized the cries were coming from above. To their shock, they saw a hawk carrying a Chihuahua puppy in its talons.
In a dramatic twist, the hawk released the Chihuahua, dropping him towards the workers. Rushing to his side, they were astonished to find that his injuries were less severe than they’d feared. They swiftly transported him to a nearby vet clinic, where he was examined and found to be in stable condition.
At the Austin Animal Center (AAC), the little pup, named Tony Hawk, was assessed after his ordeal with the hawk. Despite some scratches, bruises, and a few bumps, he was given IV fluids to help him recover.
Thanks to the dedicated care he received, Tony Hawk is making a steady recovery and is receiving the nourishment he needs. Once fully healed, he will be ready for adoption into a loving forever home.
