By Angelo Di RupoThe Juventus defender Arturo Vinci has been named the Man of the Match after his goal helped them to a 2-0 win over Sampdori at the weekend.
The Italian international, who scored twice in his side’s 2-2 draw at home to Udinese last week, hit the bar in the 57th minute and the first half had been going well when he scored from a corner.
However, the goal by the former Sampdora man saw him crowned Man of The Match.
It took only 11 minutes for the Bianconeri to get the lead as Vinci converted his own penalty, after which he raced down the right and sent a low strike past Piazza.
The win lifted Juve to a record of 10th in Serie A and they now occupy the Champions League qualification spot with four games remaining.
The Biancones have also won their last two games, beating Sampdorio in the Europa League on Saturday, and then taking on Napoli in the Coppa Italia semi-finals.
Juventus have not been without some problems recently, though.
The Diavolo have been without the services of the experienced Gianluigi Buffon for some time and were knocked out of the Champions league in the last round of the competition by AC Milan in December.
